Das Kunst- und Medienzentrum Rheinhafen von Frank O. Gehry (USA) gliedert sich in drei kontrastreich gestaltete Gebäudeteile und wirkt wie eine riesige Skulptur. Durch die Auswahl unterschiedlicher Materialien erhält jeder Gebäudekomplex eine eigene Identität. Als Verbindung zwischen den drei Häusern wurde das Material der Fassade des mittleren Baukörpers so gewählt, dass sich die Häuser auf der nördlichen und südlichen Seite darin spiegeln können. 

Frank O. Gehry’s (USA) "Kunst- und Medienzentrum Rheinhafen" (Arts and Media Center Rhine Harbor) comprises three buildings whose designs are rich in contrast and convey the impression of a gigantic sculpture. Asymmetric features predominate, the windows (custom-made) are salient features of the façade and the layout is irregular. The choice of different materials gives each building complex its own identity. The material of the façade of the middle part of the structure has been chosen in such a way as to mirror the houses on the north and south side, thus highlighting the close connection of the ensemble of these three buildings.
